Project Garrison has developed a substantial resource/referral network of human care services to provide Re-Entry, Pre-GED and After School programs.

The objective is to collaborate with service providers and stakeholders to develop appropriate human care modalities. Strategically this is accomplished by utilizing an institutional partnering and community resource development networking approach. 

 

Services:
 

The Ex-Offender Re-Entry Program was implemented to provide education, treatment, employment, and transitional housing related services for male residents. 
 

In January 2004, Project Garrison collaborated with the Enterprise Foundation to implement an ex-offenders Re-Entry initiative to help prepare selected ex-offenders for their successful transition from prison to their Baltimore community. The primary goals of this initiative are:

  • To reduce recidivism among the offender population and build each clients capacity to be a productive member of his family and community

  • Continue the commercial sex workers reduction initiative with additional funding, develop organizational and program collaborations to facilitate the establishment of youth and adult programs, and to participate in treatment oriented community resource fairs.

  • Provide education, treatment, employment, and transitional housing related services for male residents

  • Collaborate with other youth services organizations to provide increase access to existing youth programs

  • Developed MOU with BAHEC to promote career exploration and workforce development activities for youth.

Project Garrison NW Weed & Seed developed a partnership with Baltimore City Community College to become a Pre-GED site.

Project Garrison NW Weed & Seed collaborates with Garrison Middle School and Hilton Elementary School to provide after-school academic enhancement instruction for its students.
